It has been really been a long night in parliament as Members of Parliament elect met to choose a new leader who will lead them in the 8th Parliament.
Before the voting started, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) nominated for Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP), on the other hand nominated former Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye.
At the end of the counting, it was Alban Bagbin who reportedly won the votes by beating the NPP’s candidates by two votes.
Per what we gathered, Bagbin won by 138 votes.
